Partner4Work, based in Pittsburgh, seeks a Director of Communications to lead strategic external and internal communications, media relations, and community outreach. The role reports to the CEO and collaborates with senior leaders to align with board objectives.

Responsibilities include developing comprehensive communication plans, managing digital content, and overseeing staff and external vendors. This exempt, full-time position offers a hybrid work model with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, or communications preferred.
• 5–7 years in communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Proven experience in strategic communication planning and execution.
• Experience in workforce development or related sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a strategic communication plan aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Identifies key messages and audiences, ensuring consistency across channels.
• Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of communication strategies.
• Develops monthly editorial calendars and activity reports.
• Leads planning and execution of communications events.
• Leads and develops Communications staff, ensuring growth opportunities.
• Manages relationships with external vendors (designers, writers, printers).
