Job Summary

The Director of Sourcing oversees the indirect sourcing function with an annual spend of over $300M. Responsibilities include understanding global markets, developing forecasts, maintaining data integrity, facilitating source selection, monitoring supplier performance, fostering professional development, and ensuring value for money. The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that deliver sustainable value, managing enterprise-wide sourcing, category management, and contract negotiations across categories such as Professional Services, Travel, IT, MRO, and Facilities.

This role is primarily remote, with up to 80% of duties performed from home and up to 20% travel to various locations for collaboration and relationship building.

Essential Job Functions

1. Lead a team of 10+ sourcing professionals to develop and execute category strategies that meet customer needs.
2. Deep industry expertise in Indirect categories (Professional Services, Travel, IT, MRO, Facilities).
3. Develop and govern global sourcing strategies for key categories, focusing on cost savings, cash flow, and risk mitigation.
4. Collaborate with business leaders to align category and supplier management strategies.
5. Enhance visibility and standardization of global spend and supplier classification.
6. Ensure robust execution plans, business requirements, and cost performance.
7. Promote a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning.
8. Successfully negotiate and finalize contractual agreements with suppliers.
9. Establish communication channels for coordination across business units.

Qualifications

• Proven results in Indirect Sourcing, especially in the specified categories.
• Subject matter expertise across multiple categories; experience managing all five is preferred.
• Experience with IT integrations and mergers.
• Familiarity with strategic sourcing processes and complex contracts.
• Strong negotiation, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Sourcing Manager leading a team.
• Experience with Fieldglass and Direct Sourcing is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS/NAPM, CPIM, CPM) are preferred.
