Job description

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for building and managing a team of Security Solution Engineers.
  2. Lead the Solution Engineering team in delivering GuidePoint’s service capabilities to customers in partnership with Account Management.
  3. Provide mentoring and escalation support for the solution engineering team.
  4. Become an expert on GuidePoint’s service delivery capabilities.
  5. Identify opportunities to provide complex solutions addressing customer problems and pain points.
  6. Establish trust with customers through transparency, consistency, and expert guidance.
  7. Communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  8. Understand the cybersecurity product and vendor landscape to help customers navigate the cybersecurity tools and controls market.
  9. Contribute thought leadership through customer interactions, trade shows, and conference speaking engagements.
  10. Present to customers on cybersecurity market trends, product differentiators, and alignment with control frameworks.
  11. Conduct quarterly presentations on emerging security technologies to internal teams.
  12. This position is remote/virtual when not traveling for client or internal meetings.
  13. Travel up to 50% to clients in the New England and New York Metro areas.
  14. Must reside in the Boston or New York Metro areas to be considered.
Technical Requirements
  1. Ability to manage and mentor a team of highly technical solution engineers.
  2. Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operationalizing security controls across diverse IT and enterprise systems.
  3. Proficiency in multiple cybersecurity technologies, including but not limited to: Next-Gen Firewalls, DLP, SSE, NAC, PAM, EDR, NDR, SIEM, APPSEC, CNAP, etc.
Experience, Education, Certifications
  1. Minimum 10 years in an enterprise security consultative role building and assessing security architectures and programs.
  2. At least 5 years in a technical leadership role managing a team of sales or solution engineers.
  3. Experience in a corporate operational or technical leadership role.
  4. Experience selling cybersecurity technologies and services.
