Job summary

ITW seeks a Software Development Director to guide the entire software development function, aligning strategy with business goals and digital transformation efforts. You will lead multiple teams through managers, establish engineering best practices, and drive innovation while partnering with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities include defining strategy, mentoring leaders, and delivering scalable, high-quality software on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven senior leadership experience (Director or above) in software development.
• Experience leading Agile transformations across organizations.
• Experience driving digital transformation initiatives.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate at the executive level.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall software development strategy.
• Lead and mentor Software Development Managers and senior technical leaders.
• Build a high-performing, scalable engineering organization.
• Drive long-term technology roadmaps and innovation initiatives.
• Oversee execution of multiple software initiatives and ensure on-time delivery.
• Champion Agile methodologies at scale and improve processes.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
