Job summary

Twenty, headquartered in Arlington, VA, seeks an experienced engineering leader to own the engineering organization for its flagship analyst product deployed across cloud and customer private clouds. You will lead engineering managers across platforms, enterprise capabilities, and customer-facing features, ensuring technical success and alignment with a demanding roadmap.

Qualifications

You have 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
You have 5+ years of engineering management experience, including at least 3 years managing other engineering managers.
You own engineering execution across multiple teams with high quality and accountability.
You have architectural judgment to engage with senior ICs on designs and risks.
You have owned org design decisions: team structure, scope boundaries, sequencing growth.
You’ve managed engineering organizations serving cloud-hosted and on-prem or customer-controlled deployments.
You’ve partnered with product managers to translate operational requirements into technical roadmaps.
You’ve supervised hiring across multiple teams with a structured process.
You must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

Own engineering execution across the product: delivery, quality, and technical accountability across all teams.
Lead and develop engineering managers to run their teams independently.
Drive org design: team scope, composition, sequencing of splits, and new management capacity.
Balance engineering capacity and make prioritization decisions when demand exceeds supply.
Own the technical roadmap in partnership with the product manager.
Engage at architecture level with senior ICs to ensure coherence across the platform.
Supervise hiring across engineering teams and calibrate across managers.
Partner with VP of Engineering on org strategy, headcount planning, and cross-product initiatives.
Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs to senior leadership.
Ensure security, quality, reliability, and operational discipline for mission-critical deployments.
