Position Overview

Foundever is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Director to oversee cloud infrastructure provisioning, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. This leader will also head the Software Architecture team, defining best practices, data pipelines, and microservice frameworks to support AI-driven and enterprise applications.

The role focuses on implementing and supporting Generative AI projects, optimizing cloud infrastructure and architecture for AI model development, deployment, and scalability. The director will drive technical strategy, innovation, and collaboration across teams, ensuring secure and efficient AI and cloud initiatives.

This position is remote in the USA, preferably from Miami or other East Coast locations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the DevOps team managing cloud infrastructure for all software projects.
• Ensure environments support high availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Manage CI / CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), Kubernetes, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with AI, data science, and software engineering teams for AI deployment and scaling.

Generative AI Infrastructure & Integration

• Design cloud solutions supporting Generative AI, including GPU resources and secure deployments.
• Establish best practices for AI model training, inference, and MLOps.
• Work with AI and data engineers on machine learning pipelines and cloud integration.
• Develop strategies for AI microservices to enhance product development.

Software Architecture & Microservices

• Lead the Software Architecture team, defining guidelines and best practices.
• Oversee microservice design ensuring modularity and scalability.
• Promote event-driven architectures, containerization, and serverless computing.
• Align architecture decisions with business and AI goals.
• Serve as technical leader across DevOps, architecture, and AI teams.
• Mentor and develop engineering team members.
• Partner with product and business leaders to align strategies.
• Drive innovation and adoption of emerging cloud and AI technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps; 5+ years in leadership.
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP, and cloud-native tech.
• Strong background in DevOps, IaC, Kubernetes, and CI / CD.
• Deep knowledge of microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or similar.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs, ML Ops, and AI model optimization.
• Knowledge of security best practices for AI and cloud compliance.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain.

Salary range based on experience : $190,000 - $210,000 USD annually.
