Job summary

FanDuel is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Director for the Sportsbook Core Apps Enablement group. You will lead multiple software teams, shape the strategic direction for developer tooling, and drive core enablement capabilities across mobile, BFF, and backend services.

You will partner with platform teams and stakeholders to deliver a scalable, reliable, and developer-friendly platform that accelerates product delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a software role with 5+ years managing software teams
• Experience with mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Web) and Backend-for-Frontend architectures
• Experience building strategic capabilities, developer tools, or enablement services
• Hands-on experience delivering highly available, scalable backend systems and APIs
• Experience with agile delivery methodologies and improving delivery pace while maintaining quality
• On-call production support experience and a focus on reliability and performance

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple software development teams with a focus on enabling product engineering teams
• Shape strategic direction for developer tooling and foundational capabilities
• Deliver a strategic 3–5 year vision for Core Apps Enablement across mobile, BFF, and services
• Collaborate with platform engineering and partner teams to identify reusable technologies
• Define and drive the enablement roadmap and ensure scale and reliability
• Hire, coach and manage managers, drive performance and empathy in leadership
• Ensure operational excellence with KPI-driven transparency and cost discipline
