Job Summary

The Director of Social Work Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and clinical supervision to the social work department. This role ensures high-quality, person-centered care through assessment, counseling, intervention, and discharge planning services. The director collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop programs, promote advocacy, and uphold compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards. This role requires strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of ABA principles, and a commitment to creating a supportive environment for clients and their families.

Work Location: This is a hybrid position, with the primary work location at the Newark Early Intervention (EI) Center. The role includes a combination of on-site work and remote flexibility, along with travel to other EI Centers across New Jersey as needed for clinical supervision, training, and program development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all social work operations, including supervision of social workers and support staff.
• Develop and implement department goals, policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Provide clinical supervision and support of social workers
• Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration with Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapy, Psychologists and Primary Care.
• Monitor quality improvement initiatives and client satisfaction metrics.
• Manage budgets, staffing schedules, training, and professional development.
• Conduct social determinants of health screenings for families
• Assist families with accessing internal and external resources
  
  

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work
• Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Two or more years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
• Experience working in an ABA therapy setting.
