LifeSTEPS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization seeking a Director of Social Services in Truckee, CA. This role designs and coordinates social service activities within affordable housing complexes to support residents.

The position requires a 4‑year degree and at least 2 years of related experience, plus a valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation. The DSS leads community outreach and client‑focused services to improve housing stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
• Two years of experience in a similar social services environment.
• Valid California Driving License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Empower low‑income individuals and families to flourish by providing education and resources.
• Ensure residents, especially older adults, have an opportunity to thrive in place through housing and services.
• Encourage individuals and families through stable housing and supportive evidence‑based services to build resilient communities.
• Maximize strengths of individuals by providing client assistance, case management, service coordination, and conducting community outreach.
