Job summary

SeneGence seeks a Director of Application Integration to lead Shopify and its connected apps within a complex commerce environment. You will translate business rules into scalable solutions, oversee configuration, integrations, and governance, and partner with IT and Software Development teams to deliver reliable outcomes.

You will manage data flows across ERP, CRM, marketing automation, and analytics, driving platform evolution while balancing business value, risk, and cost.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience owning and delivering enterprise applications and integrations.
• Strong track record translating business rules into reliable application solutions.
• Experience leading teams responsible for business applications, integrations, or platform delivery.
• Proven ability to evaluate, select, and manage off-the-shelf software and external vendors.
• Experience integrating Shopify or a comparable eCommerce platform with ERP/CRM/marketing automation/fulfillment/analytics.
• APIs, iPaaS, data flows, identity and access, testing, release management, security, and application support knowledge.
• Judgment on when to configure or use off-the-shelf solutions vs. custom development.
• Ability to lead cross-functional work and communicate with executives and vendors.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Shopify and its connected app ecosystem, owning roadmap, configuration, integrations, reliability, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with business leaders to clarify and prioritize requirements.
• Deliver business requirements using native platform features and off-the-shelf tools.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party apps and services for security, scalability, and cost.
• Define integration points and acceptance criteria when custom development is needed.
• Own integration architecture and data flows between Shopify and ERP, CRM, marketing, and other SaaS systems.
• Maintain clear ownership split: Marketing for content and campaigns; IT for configuration and releases.
• Establish governance, documentation, access controls, and release processes.
