Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks an experienced Shopify Solution Architect to lead design, integration, and delivery governance for high-scale commerce solutions. You will guide clients from discovery through platform launch, bridging business goals with technical execution across Shopify Plus, headless frontends, and ERP/CRM integrations.

Responsibilities include defining end-to-end patterns, creating architecture blueprints, and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in technical architecture or lead engineering roles in enterprise e-commerce.
• 3+ years architecting Shopify Plus solutions for enterprise.
• Experience integrating Shopify with SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Akeneo, Salsify, Salesforce.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify GraphQL Admin & Storefront APIs, API rate-limiting, data migration patterns, and webhook ingestion pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and resilient e-commerce architectures leveraging Shopify Plus, middleware layers, and enterprise back-office platforms.
• Define end-to-end integration patterns using REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous/event-driven pipelines.
• Author comprehensive architecture blueprints, technical specifications, sequence diagrams, and data flow models.
• Guide technical decisions using the modern Shopify ecosystem: Shopify Functions, Checkout UI Extensions, Shopify B2B, and Shopify Markets.
• Establish architectural standards for headless storefronts built on Hydrogen and Remix, focusing on edge rendering and caching.
• Lead proof-of-concept builds and technical spikes to de-risk complex integrations.
• Mentor technical leads and senior developers in Shopify best practices, API governance.
