Job summary

PKWARE, based in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a strategic Manager of Security Operations & Information Systems to lead cybersecurity operations, enterprise IT infrastructure, and security engineering. You will balance executive risk discussions with hands-on incident response and governance initiatives to ensure a secure, scalable tech environment.

Responsibilities include leading SOC and incident response, driving IT operations and cloud security, and mentoring high-performing security and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity or IT leadership experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical teams (security operations, infrastructure, or enterprise IT).
• Hands-on experience with incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, network security, and cloud security.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure security; strong cloud security operations.
• Ability to translate security risks into business impact and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead Security Operations leadership: drive SOC activities, threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and security metrics.
• Manage information security program: partner with Legal and Engineering for customer/vendor assessments; support SOC 2 and risk mitigation.
• Direct Information Systems & Enterprise IT leadership: oversee infrastructure, cloud, IAM, end-user computing, collaboration platforms, and network management.
• Oversee Cloud & Infrastructure Security: secure cloud/SaaS, architecture, identity governance, automation, monitoring, and Zero Trust.
• Lead and develop teams: mentor Security Operations and IT teams, manage budgets, vendors, succession planning, and professional development.
