Job summary

Caraa is hiring a Director of Security to establish and lead a comprehensive security program for its emerging genomics and AI platform. This leadership role will involve developing security protocols and driving compliance initiatives while collaborating with various teams to ensure data safety.

The successful candidate will have over 10 years of experience in security and will manage a spectrum of responsibilities from compliance reviews to AI governance. Possible remote work options available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, and security management.
• Proven track record of SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 certification efforts.
• Strong understanding of modern AI security risks.

Responsibilities

• Own the company’s security program end to end.
• Lead ongoing HIPAA and HITECH compliance reviews.
• Establish and enforce AI governance policies.

Skills

10+ years of experience in security engineering

Proven experience building security programs

Strong understanding of cloud security practices

Experience managing offensive security initiatives

Ability to influence cross-functional teams

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
