Job summary

Sequencing Inc. is seeking a Director of Security to develop and oversee a comprehensive security program for its genomics and AI platform. This director-level role involves managing compliance initiatives, including HIPAA and SOC 2, and combating threats to sensitive genomic data.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years in security, proven leadership in security program development, and the capacity to work across multiple teams without direct authority. Experience with security management in healthtech is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in building security programs at fast-growing technology or healthcare platforms.
• Ability to manage offensive security initiatives and third-party access controls.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end company security program including policies and training.
• Lead compliance review and remediation initiatives for HIPAA and SOC 2.
• Establish security standards for external contractors and partners.
