Responsibilities

Join our dynamic team at Wipfli, committed to driving growth and innovation in the professional services market. We seek a passionate and experienced Director of Sales and Business Development to lead our Business Development (BD) Team and help us achieve our growth goals.

As the Director, you will work closely with the National Revenue Operations and Growth Enablement Leader to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, oversee the BD Team, and ensure alignment with our growth objectives, accountability, and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the team to meet sales targets related to new logo acquisition and origination components.
  2. Collaborate with leadership to define and implement go-to-market strategies, setting goals and timelines.
  3. Support the BD team in identifying, negotiating, and closing new opportunities, including accelerating contract negotiations.
  4. Manage and grow the pipeline of new business opportunities across target industries and regions.
  5. Establish, track, and report on the team's performance, targets, forecasts, and KPIs, proactively addressing challenges.
  6. Partner with Growth and Industry Leaders to manage BD representatives within each industry group.
  7. Manage the sales compensation plan, resolving discrepancies and ensuring clarity on incentives.
  8. Develop and implement processes, workflows, and professional development initiatives for the BD team.
  9. Leverage Revenue Operations capabilities to enhance business performance and growth initiatives.
  10. Support firm culture by promoting inclusive leadership and connecting client and associate experiences.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (required).
  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of successful leadership in a business development team.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong understanding of sales tools and technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of the professional services market, including trends and challenges.

Our compensation package includes a base salary range of $208,000 to $280,000, with potential for future increases and performance-based commissions. Benefits include health plans, dental, vision, HSA, life and disability insurance, 401(k), wellness incentives, and more.
