JOB OVERVIEW
The Director of Sales (DOS) oversees marketing and sales planning and execution for the community. They assess the local market, develop tailored marketing strategies, and manage the Sales and Marketing Budget. The DOS leads efforts to meet occupancy and revenue goals by advancing leads through the sales process.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Marketing and Sales:
- Study the market and create an effective Sales Plan.
- Identify referral sources and allocate marketing efforts accordingly.
- Develop strategies for each prospect from inquiry to decision.
- Maintain proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Build customer relationships and guide leads through the sales process.
- Ensure all team members understand their sales responsibilities and are trained accordingly.
- Conduct weekly strategy meetings with the Executive Director.
- Submit weekly sales reports.
- Provide sales leadership to the team.
Driving Revenue:
- Aim to meet or exceed occupancy and sales targets.
- Leverage various revenue drivers such as pricing and services.
External Business Development:
- Generate leads and move-ins from referral sources.
- Present to professional referral sources monthly.
- Research and identify new referral sources.
- Plan and execute call objectives.
- Communicate the benefits of referring to Sunrise.
- Participate in Referral Development Committee meetings.
Marketing Strategy:
- Create and update quarterly Sales Plans.
- Implement Sales Plans effectively.
- Conduct bi-annual market research and analysis.
- Present strategic options based on market understanding.
Resident Move-In Process:
- Review and facilitate move-in paperwork with residents and families.
- Coordinate resident assessments.
- Oversee move-in procedures and ensure compliance with regulations.
Financial Management:
- Assist in community budgeting and financial oversight.
- Review financial statements and address deficiencies.
- Manage expenses and understand their impact on the community.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Participate in Sunrise University training.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and training requirements.
- Lead engagement initiatives and attend key meetings.
Experience and Qualifications:
- College degree preferred.
- Successful marketing and sales experience.
- Goal-oriented with strong planning and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications.
- Ability to work independently, including weekends and evenings.
