Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing completed.
• NM RN license required.
• 5+ years nursing experience with at least 3 years in director/manager role.
• Experience in healthcare risk management.
• CPHRM certification encouraged and must be obtained within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hospital's risk management program and mitigation efforts.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff to implement risk solutions.
• Oversee litigation investigations and documentation.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Risk Management. This senior-level role is pivotal in steering the hospital's risk management strategies and ensuring the organization's compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall risk management program, focusing on risk identification, avoidance, and mitigation.
• Collaborate with leadership, healthcare providers, and staff to implement effective risk management solutions.
• Manage litigation-related activities including investigations, interviews, and legal documentation.
• Provide training on risk management processes and incident reporting to hospital personnel.
• Offer expert consultation on informed consent, documentation standards, and disclosure practices.
• Oversee insurance policies related to professional liability, general liability, and property claims.
• Serve as the facility's Compliance and Ethics Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• NM RN license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience with at least 3 years in a director or manager role.
• Demonstrated experience in risk management within a healthcare setting.
• CPHRM certification is a plus, required within three years of employment.
