Job summary

TenCate Americas is seeking an experienced Director of Loss Control and Risk to lead its enterprise-wide risk strategy across a distributed, multi-site operating model. The role reports to the CFO and focuses on property and casualty programs, workers’ compensation, auto liability, and general liability with a construction and field operations emphasis.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in risk management, insurance, or loss control in complex settings.
• Experience supporting multi-site industrial environments and large claims portfolios.
• Deep expertise in workers’ compensation, auto, general liability and property.
• Experience with self-insured retentions and captives preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CFO to manage property and casualty programs, renewals, and coverage strategy.
• Oversee workers’ compensation, auto liability, and general liability claims for cost containment.
• Lead loss-control initiatives across manufacturing, construction sites, and field work.
• Reduce risk from fleets and mobile crews; collaborate with safety on practices.
• Analyze claims data to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Manage relationships with third-party admins, carriers, adjusters, brokers, and counsel.
• Oversee self-insured retentions and deductibles within insurance programs.
• Establish uniform claims reporting and incident-management across locations.
• Support M&A due diligence and integration into TenCate standards.
• Provide executive leadership with risk exposure and mitigation reporting.
