Role Description

The Director of Respiratory Care is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Baltimore, MD. This position oversees all respiratory care services, including assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of respiratory therapies for patients in skilled rehab and long-term care settings. The director manages respiratory staff scheduling, performance, and training, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, monitoring quality metrics, reviewing documentation, and implementing best practices to improve respiratory outcomes and patient safety. The role also involves managing equipment and supplies, supporting accreditation and survey readiness, and contributing to program development and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in respiratory care, including assessment, treatment modalities, and management of patients in skilled rehab and long-term care settings.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising clinical staff, coordinating schedules, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation, quality improvement processes, and adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
