Job summary

Silver Dollar City Resort seeks a Director of Safety & Security to lead and implement comprehensive safety programs across its 262-room resort complex and event spaces. You will manage staffing, coordinate with park security, and ensure incident documentation aligns with regulatory requirements.

The role requires a calm, decisive leader with strong communication skills and extensive experience in security operations, risk assessment, and crisis management within hospitality settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• Minimum 5 years in security, law enforcement, or military with 2+ years in hospitality.
• CPR, AED, First Aid, OSHA safety certification preferred.
• CPP/CLSD or similar credentials preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety and security protocols across the resort.
• Lead on-property Safety & Security team including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with park security and HR on incident documentation and claims intake.
• Oversee emergency response, drills, and first aid training for staff.
• Monitor security systems and investigate anomalies; report to leadership.
