Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $123,000.00/yr

LHH Recruitment is partnering with a local firm in search of a Director of Resident Services to provide strategic leadership and oversight of resident services programs designed to enhance the quality of life and housing stability for individuals and families in residential communities. This role is responsible for developing and implementing supportive services, fostering community engagement, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to address residents’ social, economic, and health-related needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the delivery of resident services programs across all properties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a team of resident services coordinators and support staff, providing guidance, training, supervision, and performance evaluation.
  • Assess resident needs through regular surveys, focus groups, and data analysis to design effective programs and services.
  • Establish partnerships with community-based organizations, government agencies, and service providers to deliver resources in areas such as employment, education, health, financial literacy, and youth development.
  • Monitor program outcomes and prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders, funders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with property management, maintenance, and compliance teams to promote housing stability, resolve resident issues, and support lease compliance.
  • Secure funding for services through grant writing, fundraising initiatives, and coordination with development and finance teams.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Represent the organization in resident meetings, community forums, and professional associations.
  • Ensure resident services programming supports diversity, equity, and inclusion across all communities served.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in resident services, social services, or community development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of affordable housing, supportive services, and resident engagement best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including low-income households, seniors, and individuals with special needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of resident services databases or case management software is a plus.
