Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living Windsor Lake in Columbia, SC is seeking a Director of Celebrations to lead resident programs and events across active, assisted and memory care services. You will plan, coordinate and oversee opportunities that promote health, wellbeing, engagement and growth for residents.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets and build strong community relations with volunteers and external organizations to enhance the living experience of residents.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Gerontology, Social Work, Adult Education.
• Three to five years related experience.
• Two years supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and conducts lifestyle programs for physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities.
• Plans appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
• Recruit and develop additional resources for services to residents and coordinate communications with outside organizations.
• Advise and motivate residents regarding activities based on interests and growth opportunities.
• Prepares calendar of events and posts for executive approval.
• Develops and prints the community newsletter.
• Provides leadership of lifestyle program and coordinates the community library.
• Maintains equipment and supplies per budget guidelines.
• Prepares preliminary draft of Celebrations Operating Budget and supervises volunteers.
• Addresses resident groups on topics of common interest.
• Maintains database and prepares reports on resident quality assurance assessments.
