Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation in California seeks a Director of Rehab to oversee rehabilitation services across assigned accounts and drive efficient, profitable care delivery.

The role integrates across settings, supports high-quality care, and involves leading staff, budgeting, and contract development. LIC must be licensed as an OTA/OT and have Medicare billing knowledge. Strong leadership and strategic vision are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program per AOTA & ACOTE.
• Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
• Three years direct patient care experience and at least one year of management experience, or one year as a point person under a Clinical Operations Area Director.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage rehabilitation services and achieve profitability.
• Provide direct patient care.
• Assist therapy staff to remove treatment barriers and provide clinical education.
• Review monthly outcomes and support staff in improving them.
• Develop and support staff through rounding, coaching, and mentoring.
• Assist Clinical Operations Area Director with merit reviews and hiring of therapy staff.
• Coordinate annual merit reviews and hiring processes.
• Administer financial controls of revenue and expenses.
• Prepare and submit facility reports weekly and monthly.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and meet budget goals.
• Promote Powerback Rehabilitation products and services.
• Secure new contracts and maintain relationships with facility management.
• Ensure clinical management oversight, including case management, quality improvement, care planning, utilization, and patient identification by a licensed therapist.
• Perform other related duties as required.
