Job description

We are hiring a Director of Rehabilitation (Therapy) to join our dynamic care team at Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell!

Position Details:

  1. Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30a-4:30p.
  2. Weekly pay ranging from $50 to $52 an hour.
  3. Salaried position.
  4. Must be a PT, OT, or SLP.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration, clinical planning, development, marketing, and operations of the Rehab program within the facility.
  • Manage and direct staff in providing program services to patients, residents, and clients.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professions.
  • Professional organization memberships at the state and national level are preferred.
  • 2-4 years of clinical experience.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience with multi-disciplines is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality and appropriateness of patient care meet or exceed standards and comply with legal, regulatory, accreditation, and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Coordinate patient/resident scheduling considering available treatment hours and staff resources.
  • Participate in team meetings, treatment planning, and family conferences.
  • Review therapist documentation for clarity, conciseness, and compliance with patient outcome goals.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload as needed.
  • Analyze financial, operational, and productivity reports; contribute to budget development.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of statistics, patient outcome data, and billing logs.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and ensure staff skill development.
  • Supervise program staff and promote best practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Coordinate program development activities with leadership to introduce new services.

Specific Requirements:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Effective in multi-faceted systems and interactions with all staff levels and customers.
  • Knowledge of the Privacy Rule and compliance with privacy policies.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
