Job summary

Marlora Post Acute Rehabilitation in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Director of Rehabilitation. As a licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist, you will lead the Rehab Department, guide patient therapies, and oversee care plans to support recovery and independence.

You will manage staff, ensure scheduling and treatment quality, collaborate with physicians and other departments, and uphold standards of care while fostering a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed PT or OT with current California license.
• CPR certification required.
• 3–4 years in long-term care preferred.
• Prior Rehab Director experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct Rehabilitation Services Staff and Rehab Department.
• Oversee scheduling of patients and ensure appropriateness of treatment and evaluation.
• Provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative services to patients.
• Adhere to standards of physical medicine practice and maintain good relations with staff and departments.
• Perform management duties, including interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and terminating staff.
• Monitor documentation of resident treatment and assist with teaching plan formulation.

Job Summary:

As a licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to join the Marlora Post Acute Rehabilitation team as the Director of Rehabilitation. With a passion for providing top-notch care and support, you will work with patients to guide them through personalized therapy and help them achieve their recovery goals. Located in Long Beach, California, our facility offers a range of therapies and care services to support patients in regaining their independence.

Responsibilities:

• Direct Rehabilitation Services Staff and Rehab Department
• Oversee scheduling of patients and ensure appropriateness of treatment and evaluation
• Provide Assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative services to patients
• Adhere to standards of physical medicine practice and maintain a good working relationship with staff and other departments
• Perform management duties, including interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and terminating staff
• Monitor documentation of resident treatment and response and assist with formulation of a teaching plan

Requirements:

• CPR Certification (Required)
• Licensed Physical Therapy Therapist or Occupational Therapist
• 3-4 years experience in long term care preferred and Rehab Director experience
• Good physical and mental health
• Ability to perform any physical requirement of the position
• Must be able to observe and evaluate treatment effect and recommend change to physician
