Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking a Director, Project Engineering to lead the capital expenditure program across a regional network of bakeries.

You will drive project leadership from concept through commissioning, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, quality, and safety objectives. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 12+ years of experience managing large capital projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%.
• Master's degree preferred; PMP certification preferred.
• Experience in food manufacturing or industrial bakery operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital project development and execution across a regional network of bakeries.
• Manage multi-million dollar CapEx budgets annually.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to prioritize projects.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery with food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Direct external engineering firms, contractors, and OEMs through FEL/FEED and project execution phases.
• Provide leadership and coaching to project engineers and staff.
• Minimize operational disruption during project execution.
