Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a Recruiting Director in New York to lead end-to-end recruitment, build high-caliber pipelines, and scale internal sourcing. The role champions data-driven processes, manager coaching, and stakeholder alignment in a hybrid model with on-site requirements.

You will drive pipeline metrics, improve time-to-fill, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience while collaborating with senior leaders across accounting, advisory and tax functions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of recruiting experience in professional services.
• At least 3 years recruiting in accounting/tax firms.
• Proven success recruiting leadership, advisory, business development, and operations roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial advisory, accounting, and tax talent markets.
• Experience reducing agency reliance through internal recruiting.
• Data-driven with strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership: setting expectations, driving accountability, developing teams.
• Superior communication and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Experience with Workday Recruiting, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% and work extended hours as needed.

Our client is a Professional Services / Financial Advisory firm and they are looking to hire a Recruiting Director. They are operating in a hybrid model of 4x on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end recruiting from candidate engagement through close, ensuring quality and consistency
• Build relationship-driven pipelines and recruit high-caliber professionals aligned with the firm's culture
• Build and scale direct sourcing (market mapping, targeted outreach) while reducing agency reliance
• Own recruiting metrics: pipeline strength, time-to-fill, conversion rates, and hiring effectiveness
• Standardize processes and implement structured tracking, reporting, and data-driven insights
• Develop and coach recruiting coordinator(s) and drive accountability across all stakeholders
• Ensure an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience

• Minimum 15% travel; ability to work extended hours including nights/weekends as needed

The salary range for this role is $130,000-$175,000, + bonus, commensurate with experience.
