Job summary

Elk Grove Park District is seeking an experienced leader to oversee recreation operations across multiple facilities and programs. You will manage revenue-generating centers, supervise staff, and drive service quality and financial performance through strategic planning and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities include budgeting, program development, safety compliance, and community engagement to deliver outstanding park district services.

• Financial skills including generation of revenues, controlling expenses, development of annual budget, and forecasting future requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage revenue-producing recreation facilities including Pavilion Community Center, Al Hattendorf Center, Pirates’ Cove, Rainbow Falls.
• Oversee full-time staff and management of Fitness Center, Aquatic Facilities, Rentals, Custodial and Security.
• Guide general recreation programming and facility operations with market research and evaluation.
• Develop long-term facility planning and vision.
• Collaborate with Superintendent of Recreation Programs for operational excellence.
• Provide leadership to all full-time and part-time Recreation Division staff.
• Promote organizational vision, mission, and values.
• Oversee aquatics, fitness, rentals, custodial and security budgets and foster financial acumen.
• Engage with community groups to achieve district goals.
• Attend meetings and events outside regular hours as needed.
