Job Location : Remote in Kansas City, MO

Salary Range : $150,000 - $160,000 per year

About the position

This is a rewarding long-term career opportunity to work with all levels of the Kiddie Academy Educational Child Care corporate team, as well as our franchisees, impacting communities nationwide. As the Director of Real Estate, you will assist franchisees with securing real estate through lease or purchase agreements for their Academy operations. This is an “in-market” REMOTE position .

Although our corporate office is in Abingdon, MD, we seek the best qualified candidate residing in the Kansas City, Missouri area to better support our franchisees in that region.

Your Skills and Experience

• Franchising experience preferred
• 5+ years of retail real estate experience
• Experience with commercial real estate transactions, leases, and contracts
• Ability to network with brokers and developers
• Negotiation skills for leases and purchase agreements
• Understanding of tenant improvements and lease terms
• Proficiency with site selection software, demographics, mapping tools
• Excellent skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
• Persuasive and aggressive negotiation skills
• Ability to travel 20-25%
• Process-driven, creative, detail-oriented
• Team player with ability to multitask and meet deadlines
