Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Director of Radiology to oversee the Diagnostic Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Special Procedures, Radiation Therapy and MRI services. The role requires strategic leadership and a focus on compliance and patient care.

The director will plan and direct operations, work with medical staff and hospital leadership, and drive service excellence across imaging modalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• 5-8 years radiology experience.
• 5-8 years healthcare management experience.
• ARRT registration and Florida license.
• Knowledge of state regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and evaluate imaging-related services.
• Collaborate with SMG and hospital leadership to set standards of care.
• Participate in hospital and medical committees.
• Promote relationships among staff, departments and community.
• Demonstrate service excellence and manage 24/7 operations.

Job Overview

Responsible for the oversight and direction of Diagnostic Radiology, CT Department, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Special Procedures, Radiation Therapy and MRI to include the Freestanding Emergency Department. Demonstrates 24 hour responsibility for personnel and operations.

General Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating of economic growth, fiscal responsibility and the quality of the business related scope whether clinical or non clinical
• The Leader collaborates with the SMG member in developing, setting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating standards of care and practice
• Participates on assigned community, hospital and medical committees.
• Promotes collaborative relationships among the medical staff, clinical staff, volunteers, the community and other departments within the system
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelors required, Masters preferred
• 5-8 years' experience in Radiology
• 5-8 years' Healthcare Management experience required
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an approved school
• Registered by ARRT Also Licensed by the State of Florida
• Knowledge of Regulatory requirements of the State and Radioactive Materials License
• Certified in at least one Imaging modality preferably Radiology
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
