Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a CT Tech (Multi-Modality) for full-time night shift with call. You will perform routine radiographs and a variety of CT procedures under radiologist supervision to obtain accurate diagnostic images.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Completion of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Two or more years acute care experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• ARRT registration preferred; State License FL mandatory.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Job Overview

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.

General Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures.
• Follow the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Acute care experience preferred, although new graduates will be considered.
• Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
