Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Madison, a Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH), seeks a Director of Quality Management to lead accreditation readiness, RCA processes, and quality improvements. You will partner with the CEO, CNO and HR to enhance patient and staff experience.

Responsibilities include coordinating survey activities, organizing QAPI meetings, reviewing quarterly quality reports, and ensuring compliance with TJC and CARF standards.

Qualifications

• RN with a valid state license.
• Experience in quality, survey readiness, risk management, infection control or employee health.
• Familiarity with accrediting standards (TJC, CARF) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all survey activities to maintain accreditation, certification, and licensure.
• Organize monthly interdisciplinary QAPI Team meetings per QAPI Calendar.
• Receive and review quarterly quality improvement reports.
• Assist Medical Director and Quality Program Director with development and implementation of medical staff quality improvement activities.
• Lead the hospital team in RCA at least annually and for level 3-4 incidents as needed.
• Complete monthly quality data entry, analysis and reporting.
• Focus on employee training and education in the workplace.
• Collaborate with leadership to meet reporting requirements.

• Coordinating all survey activities to assure that the facility maintains accreditation, certification, and licensure.
• Organizing monthly interdisciplinary QAPI Team meetings with activities, per QAPI Calendar
• Receiving and reviewing quarterly quality improvement reports.
• Assisting the Medical Director and Quality Program Director with development and implementation of medical staff quality improvement activities.
• Leading the hospital team in the performance of RCA, at least annually, and for every level 3-4 incident, unless otherwise indicated.
• Completing monthly quality related data entry, analysis and reporting.
• Focusing on the importance of employee training and education in the work place.
• Working with leadership team to ensure reporting requirements are met.

Minimum Requirements

• Registered Nurse with valid state license. Legacy employees may exist with other clinical licensure.
• Requires experience in at least one of the core areas of responsibility: Quality, Survey Readiness, Risk Management, Infection Control, Employee Health and Education
• Demonstrates familiarity with accrediting standards, including TJC and CARF preferred.

Preferred Qualifications That Will Make You Successful

• Bachelors or masters in nursing preferred.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
