Job Description

Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic Director of Quality Management based in Lenexa, KS. The Director of Quality Management builds and leads a culture of quality across the field and the business - mentoring teams and partnering with Operations leadership to drive performance - while also overseeing the Performance Contracting Group, Inc. (PCG) Quality Management System. This role requires aligning with business strategy and supporting PCG culture, values, and mission while developing and implementing quality assurance activities to meet product and service requirements.

Essential Functions
Leadership and Management
  • Develop and mentor quality team members, building organizational capability across the business.
  • Oversee the Corporate Quality Department, including Quality Managers, Specialists, and Inspectors.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the department.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for departmental staff and direct reports.
  • Champion PCG's core values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Employee Success & Well-Being, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Customer Alignment, and Fun Company.
Quality Assurance and Control
  • Lead the Quality Management Board and Operations Quality Stakeholders.
  • Identify and collaborate with subject matter experts on quality-related issues.
  • Direct the development and implementation of PCG's quality policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes.
  • Foster a full-chain, full-lifecycle quality culture through competence development and the sharing of best practices across the organization.
  • Oversee third-party Quality Certification Programs.
  • Oversee third-party evaluation on specific high-risk items, including water infiltration, fire risk, ADA compliance, and structural integrity.
  • Manage the Design Verification process across all product lines.
  • Develop, measure, and report on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Oversee programs for Nonconformance Control, Root Cause Analysis, and Process Improvement.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to improve quality performance and reduce risk.
  • Assist with the implementation of client satisfaction initiatives and subcontractor and vendor quality programs.
  • Conduct Internal Quality Audits, prepare reports, and resolve findings.
Financial Management
  • Achieve financial performance targets and manage the operational budget.
  • Present monthly financial information to leadership, including expense forecasts.
  • Develop business plans to secure financing within established risk parameters.
Basic Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (e.g., QA/QC, Operations Management and Transformation, Process Engineering, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, business, construction, procurement, or related field, or commensurate work experience.
  • Expertise in product development, facilitation, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Proven project leadership from proposal to post-production support.
  • Successful track record in budget management and achieving profit margins.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to convey complex information effectively.
  • Excellent planning, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Dedicated to consistently advancing process enhancements and elevating organizational performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience within manufacturing and/or lean construction industries preferred.
  • ASQ, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence certification/experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting large-scale industrial or construction projects preferred.
  • Local to the Kansas City metropolitan area.
