Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group seeks an experienced Director of Quality to lead the quality function across two heavy-fabrication operations within our industrial group. You will own the Quality Management System, quality team and continuous improvement programme.

The role demands hands-on shop-floor leadership with strong ASME/API/AWS knowledge and a proven track record managing customer, third-party and industry audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA/QC leadership in heavy fabrication.
• Active CWI certification required.
• Experience with ASME, API Q1, AWS requirements.
• Proven track record of managing customer and third-party audits.
• Hands-on shop-floor leadership across multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the QMS across two fabrication operations.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API Q1, AWS and customer requirements.
• Lead, develop and hold the quality team accountable.
• Maintain audit readiness with customers, registrars and inspectors.
• Provide hands-on shop-floor quality leadership.
• Oversee weld-related processes and material traceability.
• Lead non-conformance investigations and CAPA.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and leadership to grow.
