Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions seeks a Director of Quality to lead the end-to-end quality function across its San Jose and Folsom sites. The role establishes a culture of First Time Quality, customer intimacy, and cost control while driving continuous improvement through standardized processes.

The candidate will oversee Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Compliance teams, ensuring products and processes meet AS9100 and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality management with 15+ years in quality roles.
• 10+ years in quality managerial leadership.
• Experience with AS9100, MIL STD 883, IPC JSTD 001.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute multi-site quality strategy across San Jose and Folsom.
• Own QMS, maintain AS9100 certification, lead audits and corrective actions.
• Lead MRB, nonconformance, RCCA, and drive cost effective quality.
• Develop KPIs and digital thread for quality at scale.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to resolve issues.
