Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance for an Aviation and Aerospace Manufacturing company in the Fullerton, California area. This onsite role leads quality compliance, supplier certification programs, and audits to ensure top-tier product integrity.

Ideal candidates will have extensive aerospace QA experience, including AS9100/NADCAP, team leadership of inspectors and NDT personnel, and a proven track record of reducing defects and costs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related discipline or 10+ years in aerospace quality management.
• Extensive aerospace manufacturing experience with customer audits and certifications.
• Experience leading inspectors, quality engineers, and NDT technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality compliance and drive cost of poor quality reductions.
• Apply lean to improve the QMS.
• Evaluate equipment testing accuracy.
• Develop inspection and testing standards.
• Maintain AS9100 and NADCAP certifications.
• Perform internal audits and support contract reviews.
• Ensure FAA and ITAR compliance.
• Track root causes and implement corrective actions.

Job description

The Judge Direct Placement is currently seeking a Director of Quality Assurance for an Aviation and Aerospace Manufacturing company in the Fullerton, California area.

COMPENSATION

135k to 145k plus bonus

LOCATION

Fullerton, California area (Onsite position)

MUST HAVE

• BA/BS in a relations dicipline
• Extensive Aerospace manufacturing experience including managing customer audits, AS9100 Certification and NADCAP audits
• Experience managing Inspectors, Quality Engineers and NDT technicians

MUST BE

A US Citizen or a Green Card Holder

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage quality compliance, and assurance and reducing cost of poor quality
• Utilize lean manufacturing to implement improvements to the QMS system
• Evaluate precision and accuracy of equipment and testing
• Develop standards for inspection, testing and evaluation
• Push quality standards and supplier certification / monitoring
• Maintain AS9100 & NADCAP certifications
• Perform Internal Audits
• Support contract reviews (New contract awards and supplier LTA)
• Drive compliance with FAA, ITAR
• Correct MRB matters
• Review quality trends
• Track root cause and perform corrective actions

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree or 10+ years of experience in an aerospace company in Quality Management
• Strong AS9100, NADCAP experience including Heat Treat, NDT - Penetrant, Mag, UT, etc
• OEM Quality Processes knowledge
• Metal manufacturing or forming experience
