Job summary

SSOE Group, a leading AEC-focused firm in the United States, seeks a senior marketing leader to drive pursuit excellence across the firm. You will bridge strategic marketing, proposal development, and client positioning to ensure every client-facing piece aligns with growth priorities.

You’ll lead a dynamic team, develop standards and templates, and partner with C-suite and BU leaders to shape the business plan while sharpening differentiated messaging for major opportunities across regions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in B2B marketing, proposal management, or pursuit strategy in AEC or related fields.
• 5+ years leading distributed or multi-site teams.
• Experience with RFQ/RFPs, SF330s, and shortlists under tight deadlines.
• Excellent writing and editing; translate dense technical input into client-focused narratives.
• Comfortable pushing back on senior leadership when strategy needs adjustment.
• Ability to run strategy and execution sessions in the same day.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Direct the full SSOE proposal process from qualification to submission and debrief.
• Collaborate with C-suite, BU leadership, and Business Development to shape the firm’s plan.
• Coach pursuit teams on messaging, client-centered value propositions, and interview prep.
• Establish standards, templates, and reusable content to raise quality and speed.
• Support board or executive level report outs and presentations.
• Hire external consultants when necessary.
