Role Overview

The Director of Procurement will lead purchasing and procurement efforts for all custom home and renovation projects. This leader will ensure cost-effective sourcing, maintain strong supplier and trade relationships, and support construction teams by aligning purchasing strategy with project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all purchasing, estimating, and procurement functions for high-end custom homes and renovations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and trade partners to secure quality materials and services at competitive pricing.
• Lead negotiation of contracts, scopes of work, and pricing agreements.
• Provide accurate cost estimates, budgets, and variance reporting to ensure financial accountability.
• Support design and construction teams by managing selections, change orders, and pricing updates.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and product performance.
• Utilize purchasing systems/software to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in procurement processes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined homebuilding and purchasing/procurement experience, ideally within residential construction.
• Strong negotiation skills and deep supplier/trade relationships across the industry.
• Experience in estimating, project management, and cost control.
• Knowledge of contracts, liability terms, escalation, and rebate programs.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with design, construction, and leadership teams.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
