Qualifications

• Must hold valid New Jersey school administrator certification.
• Minimum 3 years of district-level admin experience.
• 3+ years as CST member or SPED teacher required.
• Strong knowledge of special education law and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create departmental goals, objectives, and initiatives aligned with the district.
• Develop SOPs for programs and operations and communicate to staff and community.
• Clarify district-wide roles of special education personnel and authority.
• Oversee health services coordination and ESY program supervision.
• Coordinate with district staff to implement appropriate programs and services.
• Identify and coordinate evaluation for students with unmet needs.
• Act as District 504 Coordinator and ensure compliance and training.
• Serve as non-public SPED coordinator and assist in funding services.
• Prepare budget requests and present to the Board of Education.
• Coordinate transportation for in-district and out-of-district students.
• Complete data for state/federal reports and liaise with SPED attorneys.
