Job summary

Tufts University School of Medicine seeks a Director of Clinical Affairs to lead the clinical education enterprise, oversee clinical faculty, and manage the network of affiliated training sites supporting MD, PA, and DPT students.

Reporting to the Vice Dean, Academic Affairs, the role emphasizes strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement across clinical education operations; this is a benefits-eligible, part-time on-site position with limited remote work.

Qualifications

• MD degree required.
• Minimum five years of clinical practice experience.
• Minimum five years in academic medicine.
• Experience with clinical faculty development or educational leadership.
• Strong leadership, relationship management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the School of Medicine's clinical education network across MD/PA/DPT programs and affiliated sites.
• Develop, strengthen, and sustain partnerships with hospitals, community health centers, physician practices, and other clinical organizations.
• Serve as the principal liaison between the School of Medicine and its clinical affiliates.
• Identify opportunities to expand and enhance clinical training sites and learner experiences.
• Lead communications and relationship-management across clinical affiliates and academic units.
