Description

MotorCity Casino Hotel is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Project Management. This leadership role supports initiatives across our casino and hospitality sectors, including gaming, hotel operations, food and beverage, and retail.

This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and involves collaboration with senior leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams. The Director will oversee strategic projects, from technology implementations to property renovations, ensuring they meet organizational goals, timelines, and budgets.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading and managing a portfolio of high-impact projects.
2. Defining project scopes, objectives, and success criteria with internal teams and leadership.
3. Overseeing construction and remodeling efforts with Facilities and external contractors.
4. Ensuring project governance through tracking, reporting, and risk mitigation.
5. Negotiating vendor and contractor agreements.
6. Serving as the main communication point for projects.
7. Developing and mentoring project teams.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 10 years of proven project management experience, including leadership of cross-functional initiatives.
2. Strong knowledge of IT and construction/remodeling project lifecycles.
3. Experience with legal agreements, budgets, and senior stakeholders.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
5. Familiarity with enterprise systems like CMS, PMS, POS, ERP is a plus.
6. PMP or similar certification preferred.
