Job summary

SisterReach in Memphis, TN, seeks a Director of Programs and Leadership Development to guide all programmatic initiatives and foster staff leadership growth. You will report to the COO and supervise five directors across Policy, Harm Reduction, Education, SisterReach Village, and Culture Change, ensuring programs align with our mission.

This leadership role emphasizes collaboration with Marketing and Communications and Research and Development to translate data into actionable program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in nonprofit management, public health, sociology, social work, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, leadership development, or nonprofit administration.
• Experience supervising multiple teams or departments in a nonprofit setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of marginalized communities in Tennessee and surrounding regions.
• Strong grant-writing, reporting, and evaluation skills.
• Reliable transportation with minimum liability insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Define organizational programming goals and long-term strategies.
• Develop and implement programs aligned with SisterReach’s vision, mission, culture, and values.
• Advise executive leadership on programmatic trends, innovations, and outcomes.
• Recruit, onboard, and support program staff to build a dynamic, high-performing team.
• Supervise five directors across key departments—Policy and Advocacy, Harm Reduction, Education, SisterReach Village, and Culture Change.
• Oversee planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of all SisterReach programs.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications, Research and Development, COO, and CEO to align program strategies with goals.
• Provide regular updates and reports to leadership and the research and development department.
• Represent SisterReach in meetings, panels, webinars, and conferences as a public spokesperson.
