Job summary

Coverys seeks a Programs Underwriting Director to oversee a network of MGA partnerships in the US. You will manage relationships with distribution partners and internal stakeholders to drive profitable growth, underwriting discipline, and operational excellence across the delegated underwriting program.

Responsibilities include due diligence, onboarding, program launches, product development, filings, and annual audits to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 15+ years of property and casualty underwriting experience with program underwriting focus.
• Strong experience in product filings, DOI objections, and regulatory processes.
• Proven ability to manage complex MGA relationships and delegated authority.
• Proficiency with Excel; Salesforce experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Main MGA contact to build trust and alignment across carrier principals.
• Lead due diligence, onboarding, and lifecycle management of programs.
• Oversee delegated underwriting authority and complex referrals.
• Drive product development, filings, and contract processes with MGAs.
• Own program budget, track GWP, commissions, and profitability.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for senior leadership.
