Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) seeks a strategic, mission-driven Director of Program Services - Residential Services to lead a growing portfolio across Wisconsin. This executive role provides leadership, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and operational excellence, reporting to the VP of Residential Services.
You will supervise about 103 colleagues and manage an $8.5 million operating budget.
Lutheran Social Services (LSS) is a private, non-profit, human service agency providing a variety of services throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Over the years, LSS has grown to become one of the largest human service agencies in the two state area serving more than 125,000 clients annually. We are looking for passionate, mission-driven individuals like you to help provide services including outpatient behavioral health management, international, domestic and special needs adoptions, older adult services, support services for children, youth and families, community corrections programs and support services for adults with disabilities and/or mental health concerns.

Status: Full-Time | Exempt | Hyrid
Travel: Regular in-state travel throughout to programs is required.

This executive-level position provides leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for a growing portfolio of residential services across Wisconsin.
Reporting to the Vice President of Residential Services, this role is responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and operational excellence. The Director oversees approximately 103 colleagues and a growing workforce, while maintaining accountability for an $8.5 million operating budget. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who can balance mission, people, quality, and financial performance while driving innovation and sustainable growth. This leadership role is responsible for day-to-day operational oversight and strategic execution within Residential Services.
