Why Join Us?

Position Summary

The Director of Program Management is an enterprise-wide leadership role responsible for the Program Management Office (PMO) within the Mission & Integration Department. Reporting to the Vice President, Mission & Integration, this leader engages across all Americase departments to bridge pockets of activity and silos of information, bringing efficiency, risk, trends, and control together under one Project Management (PM) methodology.

The Director prioritizes the many improvement efforts underway, focusing resources on the processes causing ambiguity, wasted time, and downstream rework. This role also helps stand up new departments and functions with documented procedures and value stream pathways, and integrates Mission Assurance and Quality Assurance disciplines into projects, all while preserving the entrepreneurial culture that has made Americase successful. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, acts operationally, and thrives where structure must be created, ambiguity is common, and influence matters more than authority.

Key Responsibilities: Program Management Office

  • Program Definition :Work with department leadership to ensure internal programs and projects are clearly defined, with project-level roles and responsibilities delegated across functional areas.
  • Planning and Requirements :Support project planning and design based on PO and contract requirements, identifying applicable regulations and standards that place controls on projects and final deliverables.
  • Critical Path Integration :Ensure business processes are identified, integrated, and captured on the critical paths of the project lifecycle.
  • Improvement Prioritization :Prioritize efforts to fix processes affected by unclear requirements, design and change control, knowledge-sharing gaps, wasted time, and rework.
  • Enterprise PM Outreach :Extend PM disciplines to Americase facilities, the supply chain, and future Americase International operating companies.

Key Responsibilities: Organizational Development

  • Organizational Capability :Build capability through improved processes that simplify system and design complexity and minimize human-driven complications.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment :Partner with department leaders to improve alignment, communication, and accountability across the business.
  • Leadership Mentoring :Mentor functional leaders in project management methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Execution :Support and maintain action items with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to excellence.
  • Global Growth :Integrate new businesses and operating companies across Americase International into established processes and policies through PMO methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive program and project management, or departmental design and execution experience, leading highly complex initiatives
  • Strong understanding of requirements management, risk management, and program and project execution
  • Experience designing and implementing processes within standards and regulations
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking capacity, with experience designing and implementing integrated Business Management Systems
  • Demonstrated leadership in team building, work delegation, process design, and data-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across departments without direct authority
  • Ability to travel frequently, including to Americase locations and, as the role expands, international operating companies

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other recognized project management certification
  • Industry background in logistics, large-scale distribution, engineering, infrastructure, international operations, or product development

Who You Are

  • A builder who creates structure without unnecessary bureaucracy
  • A hands-on leader who works in the details while keeping an enterprise-wide perspective
  • Comfortable in a fast-growing environment where systems and processes evolve quickly
  • Willing to challenge assumptions, surface difficult issues, and protect the integrity of the company
  • Calm, decisive, and organized when managing competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Committed to developing people and building a high-performing team

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary : Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
