Job summary

Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank is seeking a Director of Production & Planning to lead strategic production scheduling, scenario analysis and resource forecasting across features, shorts and specials.

You will own production plan templates, build dashboards, work with Studio leadership, Finance and Data Team, and guide inventory flow while ensuring confidentiality and onsite presence 3–5 days.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production experience.
• 5+ years of production leadership experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex schedules.
• Strong communication and discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Owns and updates production plan templates for features, specials and shorts.
• Creates initial production plans and resource schedules with development timelines and budgets.
• Develops production scenarios to optimize resources and mitigate risks.
• Generates dashboards, reports and presentations from historical data to inform decisions.
• Partners with leadership to align milestones and dashboards across shows and studios.
