Job summary

Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, CA, seeks a Director of Production & Planning to strategically plan feature films and projects in parallel, utilizing data to optimize complexity, efficiency and budgets. You will guide dashboards, reports, and tools to drive production analysis and decision-making across the studio.

With 10+ years in production and 5+ years in leadership, you will collaborate with Studio leadership, Finance and Data teams, while managing a team responsible for

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production experience in film/animation.
• 5+ years in production leadership with team management.
• Includive cross-site collaboration and bias-awareness.
• Specialized knowledge of animation production processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
• Analytical thinker with strategic planning across multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel and onsite work 3–5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Manage production plan templates for features, specials and shorts.
• Update plans, prepare scenario analyses, and assess studio impacts.
• Create initial production plans and resource schedules with Development.
• Translate show plans into budgets with Finance collaboration.
• Consolidate scenarios to optimize resources and reduce risks.
• Generate dashboards and reports to highlight complexity and budgets.
• Advise Associates on inventory flow strategies and opportunities.
• Partner with Production leadership to set milestones and dashboards.
• Collaborate with Production Finance on financial impacts.
• Own Autodesk Flow Production Tracking and related dashboards.
• Own workforce planning tools and dashboards for capacity planning.
• Work with Technology to prioritize process-improvement tools.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.
