Upgrade is seeking a Director of Product Management for the Fraud team in San Francisco. You will own strategic initiatives shaping end-to-end fraud detection architecture, risk models, third-party data integrations, and consumer verification systems.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in product leadership within fintech, excel at balancing robust fraud prevention with user conversion, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-integrity outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience in a fintech environment.
• Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Extensive expertise in fraud strategies, models and data sources.
• Fluency with analytics tools and A/B testing.

• We’re looking for a Director, Product Management for our Fraud team. In this pivotal role, you’ll own and drive strategic initiatives shaping our end-to-end fraud detection architecture, advanced risk models, third-party data integrations, and consumer verification systems
• The role is perfect for seasoned product leaders with 10+ years of experience who excel in fast-paced fintech environments, bring deep domain expertise in risk strategies, and master the balance between robust fraud prevention and seamless user conversion
• You’ll be responsible for spearheading engineering scrum teams, resolving cross-functional trade-offs, and partnering closely with fraud management, information security, data, and operations to deliver impactful, high-integrity outcomes
• Drive product development for all of Upgrade’s fraud infrastructure including detection, models, third party data integration, and consumer verification measures
• Facilitate cross-functional decision making, driving key tradeoffs between conversion, fraud prevention, information security and operational considerations
• Partner closely with Upgrade’s fraud management team to monitor and drive improvements on all relevant fraud KPIs
• Act as product owner for scrum teams working to ship fraud platform enhancements
• Evaluate and drive implementation of new third party data and software integrations
• Work closely with the operations team to monitor, troubleshoot and solve issues
