Job summary

Region 4 Education Service Center in Houston is seeking a Director of Product Development to lead DevelopWorks and other revenue-generating technology products. You will guide product strategy, coordinate engineering, and ensure successful deployments and customer outcomes across a growing national footprint.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field, 10 years in tech, 5 years of people leadership, and deep experience with SaaS platforms, analytics, and modern PM tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or commensurate computer-related experience.
• Ten years of experience as a technology professional.
• Five years of people management experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and delivering software products through the full lifecycle — from concept through commercial deployment and support.
• Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and SaaS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate all activities of the Product Development team, including direct reports in software engineering, customer success, solution architecture, Data and product analysis.
• Direct the development, implementation, and commercialization of products and systems supported by Region4, including DevelopWorks and escWorks.
• Develop strategic business direction for the Product Development department and maintain the DevelopWorks roadmap.
• Design go-to-market plans, including pricing strategy, sales enablement materials, and competitive positioning.
• Identify strategic business partners, ESC networks, and distribution channels to expand the platform’s reach.
• Oversee product environment architecture, system monitoring, upgrades, and releases in coordination with IT.
• Partner with Marketing and Communications on product launches and brand positioning.
