Job summary

Colt is seeking a Director of Product Development & Industrialization to lead new firearm platforms from concept to full-rate production. The role blends advanced mechanical design with hands-on industrialization, ensuring manufacturability, supply chain readiness, and robust performance under regulation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering experience in product development and manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical design experience with complex systems and CAD drawings.
• Experience with FEA, GD&T, and tolerance stack analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and industrialization from concept through production for firearm products and accessories.
• Develop and maintain complete Technical Data Packages including CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specs.
• Define manufacturing strategies and lead supplier development for new platforms.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Management.
